The meta glasses converter accepts one JPG, JPEG, or PNG photo up to 20 MB and creates a new JPEG. It keeps the complete frame at the decoded width and height while rebuilding the file and its EXIF metadata.
A fresh JPEG, not a renamed file
The browser decodes the source pixels and draws them into a new image. This removes the old file structure instead of simply changing the extension.
Transparency becomes white
JPEG does not support transparent pixels. If a PNG contains transparent areas, the converter places those areas on a white background before creating the JPEG.
The original dimensions stay intact
A 1600 × 1200 input remains 1600 × 1200, and portrait or landscape orientation is preserved. The tool does not crop, resize, or stretch the scene.
Old metadata is replaced
Original GPS, device details, maker notes, and editing history are left out. A small compatibility-focused EXIF profile is added, then checked before download.
Image quality is encoded as a high-quality JPEG, so the downloaded file may not have the same byte size as the original. Pixel dimensions and the full visible scene are preserved; file size and metadata structure are rebuilt.

Privacy explained
Why browser-local processing matters.
With a conventional upload tool, the photo must travel to a remote server before processing can begin. Here, the conversion code runs inside the browser on your device. The selected photo is read into temporary browser memory, rebuilt with the browser's image tools, and returned to you as a downloadable JPEG.
The site has no photo upload endpoint, image account, or cloud photo library. That means your picture is not sent to this website for conversion, and there is no server-side copy for the tool to store. Closing or refreshing the page clears the current selection from the interface; your original file remains where it was on your device.

Open a new Story
Choose the converted photo from your camera roll. Avoid using a screenshot or a copy from a messaging app.

Select the glasses or Spin View option in the Story editor to activate the interactive view.
Route Converted photo → Story editor → glasses tool → Spin View Story.
Where to look in the editor
Troubleshooting
If Spin View does not appear.
A successful conversion prepares a compatible JPEG; it cannot control which Story tools Instagram shows for a particular app version, account, device, or region. Work through these checks without altering the downloaded file.

Confirm you selected the download
Choose the freshly converted JPEG directly from your camera roll or downloads. A screenshot, edited copy, or messaging-app copy may no longer contain the prepared EXIF metadata.

Start with a fresh Story
Close the current Story editor, reopen it, and select the converted JPEG again. Then review the available editing tools for a glasses or Spin View option.

Check the Instagram app
Update Instagram through your device's app store and restart the app. Instagram may change the tool's name, location, recognition behavior, or availability in later versions.

Try the clean file again
If another app compressed or resaved the image, return to the meta glasses converter and make a new JPEG from the original photo. Download it and take that untouched result straight to Stories.
Conversion does not guarantee that Instagram will display Spin View. Feature availability is controlled by Instagram and may differ between accounts, devices, regions, tests, and app releases.
